. . . is an homage to the mountain and desert regions of the American Southwest we call home. Combining ingredients and techniques first practiced by native peoples with Spanish colonial and new American influences, Alta Mesa celebrates and translates this rich heritage into a modern, sustainable form. Chef-Owner Ryan Fowler draws inspiration from his travels through Central and South America and his many friendships with the amazing people who trace their roots there. This is an important part of our story. So too is the ranching history of the Yampa Valley. A look at our menu reveals a respect for our ranching community, prime grade meats sourced from working families, grilled or roasted to reveal the flavor of our abundant land.
Co-Owner Paul Underwood and the service team preset meals with the hospitality for which Steamboat Springs is renowned. A thoughtfully curated beverage program is evident with our specialty cocktails and spirits emphasizing the many species of agave, extensive list of domestic and international wines, beers, and alcohol-free choices.
